EXP 3: One Point Perspectives

EXP 3: Article MashUp

The primary form of the (bridge) is deconstructed to create a wide variety of indoor-outdoor conditions that provide unparalleled views. The Bridge was designed to be invisible as possible - a white bridge disappearing into the clouds.
Part of the bridge’s design is based off of the difference in elevation between the two sides, and the concurrent height needed for vehicles to pass underneath. The objective of revealing the structural performance of the bridge, will generate the final form of a floating lantern of wood-a pure man-made object calling attention to the undulating natural topography of the landscape.
We understand that the bridge should provide for a dedicated open space over the river with multiple functions - more than merely acting as an engineering device that solves a communication problem. (The Bridge) continues the trend of delivering unique architecture that tests the limits of human ingenuity, providing visitors with a proper adrenaline boost. Whether it’s the view of the water or the feeling of passing to the other shore, pedestrian bridges so often have an important role in the development and renovation of urban complexes and become thriving veins of social activity.
